  2/27/2005 - Beep.

Yeah, so while Fol and Greg got to go have fuuun at this Bashcon, Yuri was up in Lancashire for 3 days listening to lectures about some dreary universities in dreary urban midland towns, and then driving around said towns, wondering why the student housing had to be a whole bus journey away from the rest of the campus.

So anyway, the current standings of preferred places to have to go to this september are as follows:

Glarmorgan: Good.
Swansea: Crap.
Preston: Good.
Sunderland: Feh.
Teeside: Mystery meat.

Yeah, I couldn't get to see Tees because they are application nazis. I did however learn that going and asking to be shown around independantly is a lot better than attending an open day. It was all OH, WE'RE GOING TO TELL YOU HOW GREAT A BUNCH OF COURSES YOU ARENT INTERESTED IN ARE, AND WHAT IRRITATING FINANCIAL SCHEMES WE OFFER TO POSTGRADUATES. Then you wait around for an hour and a half for the next tour/lecture.
blablablabla.
What else did I do? I sat in the car a lot I guess... hm...
Yeah, good times were had by all.

The present was an egg laid by the past that had the future inside its shell.
