6/14/2004 - Yet more stuff.
Saw Van Hellsing today, and the whole damn world went to hell while I was out. ----- Van Hellsing (Spoiler Free Review) This was, simply put, a very B movie. Vampires, Frankenstein's Monster, Mr. Hyde, Werewolfs, all that jazz. But it just didn't pull it off. Didn't feel right. I can almost imagine the writer's idea for this movie. "Man, swinging on vines is really cool. I'll write a movie about that!" Another thing: EVERYTHING that happened had to go off without a hitch. If there was one single error, the whole plan was FUCKED. And, of course, everything goes right. Like I said, B movie. But it does look very pretty, and it had it's fair share of slick moments. Unfortunatley, that's not enough to make up for some of the more grevious errors in the story. Final rating: 7/10. I only paid $2 to see it, and I got my money's worth. I guess. ----- Creme Soda Floats are not as good as Rootbeer Floats. The Beastie Boys have a new...what do I call it? CD? Album? Series of tracks out. It's called "To the 5 Boroughs", and I just heard a few of the tracks on the radio. I suggest picking that up. Or, you know. However you get music. Also: Audblog, that Blog-By-Phone service, is now free. I don't know if Folin and I are going to be doing Audioposts the way we currently are, or AudBlogging from now on.We have a great fucking time doing it our way, but for AudBlogs, we don't need to find hosting. Mebee we'll just do Audblog's independantly of eachother. So, when you see an Audblog symbol, remember that only one of us did it. I think we'll do that. Then, when we get drunk on Dr. Pepper, we'll do a honest to goodness Audio Post. I'ma wrap this up. If I have anything else to say, i'll say it. //Greg::10:18 PM EST\ # | |
