6/19/2004 - THE WORLD IS MY OYSTER.
Folin, I have some good news, and some bad news: Bad news is, you left your hat here. Good news is, we're going to go see Kevin Smith in the windy fucking city, Chicago. The weekend of August 14th, WizardWorld Chicago is happening, and we're gonna hit that up for my birthday. I'll see what I can do about putting coverage of that on here, for all of you to read. Should be fun. ----- Google knows how to please me. Not only can you pretty much type anything into Google and then find it, but there's Google News, which keeps me informed on shit I didn't even bother to think to look up, Froogle, which is good for the no-budget slacker like myself, Google images for...things, Google answers, where, if cold hard steel and circuts cannot answer me then humans can, Gmail, which is just plain orgasmic with it's 1000 megs of storage, and Wireless Google, which can be accessed by anything that can connect to the internet, anywhere. IT'S AMAZING! We've finally almost-sorta reached the future. In the 1930's, people imagined that we would carry around small devices that could wirelessly get information on anything at all. Just thought i'd point that out. ----- Folin came over last night. We forgot to do an Audio Post, but we came up with a few movie scenes, which will help get the final thing finished sooner. But we all know i'm still going to take some fucking years. ----- Sent out 2 Gmail invites yesterday, one to get a fuckload of eBooks, one of which I can really really use. I do want to learn PHP, so i'll be reading that. And if anyone can find a good C++ eBook (Probably Dave or Mike), i'd be willing to do something for that. ----- Kurtz. The guy who makes PVP, the webcomic. That guy PISSES ME OFF. PVP is funny, don't get me wrong, but this guy bitches and bitches incessantly. He's a fucking prima donna. He has people buying him shit BECAUSE he insulted them personally. People have GIVEN him enough for nearly two 40-gig iPods, and he's still whining. Fucker dosen't appreciate what is so clearly an enormous blessing. ----- In case I haven't mentioned it before, Firefox 0.9 is out. And I have to tell you, there was no reason to have IE BEFORE Firefocks, and it's infinatley better now. I refuse to use IE anymore, simply because i'm so used to Pop-Up blocking, and tabbed browsing. Not to mention all the fucking security holes in IE. ----- Saw Dodgeball on it's opening night, but just forgot to talk about it. It's good, but you're not going to end up lifeless if you miss it.
