10/05/2003 - Woo? [French Kiss - My Heart Goes Boom]

LOTS to say. Let me get these three pages of pwnage out of the way first.

Oh yeah.

-----

Had quite a weekend. Went to this thing at this school. Specifically, a bonfire at the local public school that Folin goes to. I went, because I was invited. I'd prefer to not give details on the invitation, but a rousing good time was had by all. I wore a Slient Bob-ish (is that the word we made, Folin? Or was it Bob-y?) coat/Jacket thing, and made fun of stupid people. And I swear, the fire was so big that I thought we'd be sacrificing goats, or the innocent.

-----

The next day (I believe) I went over to Folin's house, and thus, we played Power Stone and Sonic Adventure 2. Yes, he had a Dreamcast. He also had these BAD ASS Final Fantasy 7 action figures, that I'm still willing to pay money for.

After two hours of that, we went to a party, hosted by a person whom I will call "Brad". And yes, that's his real name. Saw some people there that I haven't seen in a while. Good good. Folin brought his XBox, along with Halo, Kung Fu Chaos, NBA Street Vol. 2, and DOA:XBV. I brought Soul Calibur for the PS2.

We never got around to playing SCII.

-----

After that, we retreated to Folin's house (Around 1:00 AM) and attempted top get his internet working with Knoppix. Thing is, he has some sort of weird Ethernet card, and Knoppix refuses to recognize it. So, we tried an XP password cracker. No deal. Still trying to get him his access.

Wow, I thought I was supposed to be without access.

Once we admitted defeat in that area, we proceeded downstairs to play Halo on Folin's GYNORMOUS TV. Fun!

Then his mom came down and sentenced us to 7 hours of rest.

Wow. We are nerds, eh?

-----

Cartoon Network just had a commercial for "Kidz Bop", a CD where they remix the current songs that are popular, and make them appropriate for children and the like. They had Evanescence, or however it's spelled. I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or ignore.

-----

Cats on Mars!

-----

Tech TV (The Anime Unleashed department, anyway) is releasing a video game. Granted, it'll be made using an RPGMaker-esque program, but it'll be free, and anime based. Real all about it, and suggest things like plot, characters, ect. here.Looks to be reasonably fun. And it's free!

-----

Orange Juice and Hot Pockets (pizza ones, anyway) don't mix well.

-----

Actually, yes, they do.

-----

I know, I know. I showed yopu all Trillian, and it was good, and you downloaded it. Well, now I have something like it, only better. It's called Gaim. It has all the normal clients, plus Jabber, Gabu-Gabu, and something else. I forget it. Oh, and it's all open source. And free. And good. And in almost every Linux distro.

Hoo-rah. Oh, you want a link? Ugh. Just a minute.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/gaim/ There. Found it. Copy and paste, i'm lazy.

-----

If I have more to say tonight, i'll put it here.

Without you
